Studies, Libraries, & Home Administration
This den includes ample open shelving for books & decor, as well as convenient printer stations. Designed by Susan Orfald.
Designed with multi-functionality in mind, this room is not just an office. It transforms into a guest room when the decorative wall panel opens up to reveal a spare bed. When the Murphy bed is not in use, it acts as an accent wall, perfectly matching the surrounding millwork. Designed by Susan Orfald.
All custom elements of the room coordinate in a stained maple finish with metallic inlays. Designed by Susan Orfald.
Traditional in style & functional by design, the home administration desk located across the kitchen is ideal for multitasking. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
Now located in Philip's home office, the desk & accompanying credenza seen here were once part of our display booth at the London Home & Garden Show years past. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
Custom finger pulls were integrated into the drawers in the same finish as the inlays, to accentuate the design. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
A home office fit for a king. Work from home in solitude within this serious yet inviting space.
Opposite the desk, this fireplace & TV combination unit makes the home office more relaxing.
This home office also serves as an easily accessible library complete with a rolling ladder. The mitered inset panel style wall unit was done in cherry, as well as the worktop & exposed shelves in cherry veneer with durable solid nosing. To finish the look, upper & lower reeded pilasters divide the sections, while an arched valance & capital draw the eye to the centre. Designed by Susan Orfald.
Transitioning the space from kitchen to family room stands the home administration desk. Mirroring the black, worn through finish found in the island & powder room, the dark tones offer a cohesive appearance that distinguishes its own place. Designed by Susan Orfald.
Serving as a haven for the homeowners, this study does double duty as both a home office as well as a cozy TV room. The custom wall unit hosts 4 large file drawers, amongst the other concealed storage, with just enough display shelving atop. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
Through the use of deep, rich colours, along with the traditional elements of the overall design, this study is formal yet comforting. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
Taking the idea of a basic desk & transforming it into a complete home administration area, is done by including coordinating upper cabinetry with open shelves for quick access as well as display. You will notice that the central pencil drawer does not have decorative hardware, but rather a finger pull below, making it more comfortable to sit at. Designed by Susan Orfald.
Working from home is welcoming here, & doing so in an orderly fashion becomes a breeze. Full height, wall to wall cabinetry encases the room, with such finishing touches as reeded pilasters & upper corbels to enrich display shelving, giving the space its formality. Designed by Philip Bielmann.
Located in the back hall, this desk creates a touchdown spot & less formal work space than their large home office. The design was inspired by a photo the client provided, then customized with the painted finish, turned legs, & a framed bulletin board connecting the upper & base portions. Designed by Susan Orfald.
